This season, Dewar Dynamics enters its second year as the operator of Anicinabe Park, with a focus on safe, family camping and memorable stays on the shores of Lake of the Woods. Our priority is to provide a welcoming, well-managed environment where guests can relax, connect, and return year after year.
The Dewar Dynamics team brings decades of facility management experience, including more than 30 years owning and operating Stony Mountain Ski Area, along with long-standing involvement in recreation and tourism in Manitoba. We have camped at Anicinabe Park with our family and friends for over 25 years, giving us a direct understanding of what campers value most in this park.
Heather’s extensive experience in recreation, facility management, and film location scouting equips her to ensure every aspect of the park functions smoothly, with safety always a top priority. Gary contributes over 40 years of experience with Manitoba Hydro, providing expertise in safety, infrastructure, and operations. Together, this combination of skills supports a campground experience that is professionally run, safe, and genuinely welcoming.
Gary is a proud member of the Red River Métis Nation with mechanical expertise and a passion for music and fishing. A gearhead at heart, he loves sneaking away to Lake of the Woods Speedway, the local stock car track in Kenora. Gary and his wife Heather have owned and operated Stony Mountain Ski Area for over 30 years, and he has been boating on Lake of the Woods for more than 25 years—though he’s not sharing his favourite fishing spot. 🙂
Promoting Kenora’s activities, events, businesses, and services is a key focus for Heather. With her extensive travel experience and deep local knowledge, she is well-equipped to advise guests on the best things to see and do in Kenora, as well as recommendations for adventures and destinations whether you’re heading east or west. Her goal is to help visitors make the most of their stay by connecting them with the wide range of opportunities the region offers.
